Aryna Sobolenko beat Jasmyn Paolina and reached the 1/2 finals of the WTA Final Tournament

The first racket of the world, the Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sobolenko won her second victory at the group stage of the WTA Final Tournament – 2024, which is held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). She beat the fourth-ranked Italian Jasmine Paolina with a score of 6:3, 7:5.

In the second set, Sobolenko won two of her opponent’s set balls on her serve with a score of 4:5.

The match lasted 1 hour 31 minutes. During this time, Sobolenko completed five serves in flight, committed six double faults and realized five break points out of nine. On Paolina’s account, there is not a single ace, three double faults and three realized break points out of six.

Thanks to the second victory, Sobolenko advanced to the semi-finals of Togovoy ahead of schedule, guaranteeing first place in the group. Paoliny will compete for exit from the group with the Chinese woman Zheng Qinwen. Elena Rybakina lost her chances for the semi-finals.
