Carlos Alcaraz Becomes the Youngest Career Grand Slam Champion in History

World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz of Spain has become the youngest player in tennis history to complete a career Grand Slam, achieving the milestone at the age of 22 years and 272 days.

The previous record had stood for nearly 88 years and belonged to Don Budge, who completed his career Grand Slam after winning Roland Garros in 1938.

On February 1, Alcaraz claimed the title at the Australian Open 2026, defeating 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic of Serbia in the final. The match ended in a 2–6, 6–2, 6–3, 7–5 victory for the Spaniard.
