Cory Gauff beat Iga Schwiontek in the WTA Finals match
The third racket of the world, the American tennis player Cory Gauff won her second victory at the Final Tournament – 2024, which is held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). She confidently beat the second ranked player of the world, Poland’s Iga Schwiontek, with a score of 6:3, 6:4.
The match lasted 1 hour 49 minutes. During this time, Gauff completed two serves, made 11 double faults and converted 5 break points out of 12. Schwiontek had one ace, two double faults and two break points out of eight.
Thanks to her second victory at Itogovy, Gauff qualified for the playoffs. Earlier, Aryna Sobolenko, the first racket of the world, qualified ahead of schedule for the semifinals of the tournament.
