Italian tennis player, 50th racket of the world Camilla Giorgi withdrew from the WTA tournament in Warsaw (Poland). It is reported by Ubitennis.
The withdrawal from the competition became known a few hours before her first match. Georgie was supposed to meet in the first round with Tatiana Maria from Germany. The decision to pull out of the match was reportedly due to wrist problems. Georgie’s place in the tournament bracket will be taken by an athlete who has passed the qualification, or a lucky loser.
At the Wimbledon tournament, Georgie was eliminated in the first round, losing to Varvara Gracheva, representing France, with a score of 2:6, 4:6. Earlier, at the WTA tournament in Eastbourne, Camila reached the semifinals, where she lost to Russian Daria Kasatkina with a score of 2:6, 5:7.
