Medvedev lost to Alcaraz for the first time in his career

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaras for the first time in his career defeated the representative of Russia Daniil Medvedev. In the final match of the tournament in Indian Wells, Alcaraz beat Medvedev with a score of 6:3, 6:2.

This was the second full-time match between rivals. In the first match, Medvedev defeated the Spaniard.

Earlier it was reported that Medvedev interrupted the winning streak of 19 matches and failed to win the fourth title in a row. Earlier, Medvedev won three titles in a row in three weeks – in Rotterdam, Doha and Dubai.

For his performance at the Indian Wells tournament, Medvedev will receive 652 rating points and $662,000 in prize money. Alcaraz, in turn, will receive 1,000 ranking points and $1.2 million in prize money for winning the tournament.
