Osaka lost to Swiatek in the second round of Roland Garros

Four-time Grand Slam winner Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka lost to Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranking leader Iga Swiatek in the second round of the 2024 French Open.

The match ended with a score of 7:6, 1:6, 7:5 in favor of the Polish athlete.

The meeting lasted 2 hours 58 minutes. Within its framework, Swiatek never served a miss, made three double faults and converted 3 break points out of 13 earned. Osaka had eight aces, four double faults and five converted break points out of nine earned.

Let us remind you that Iga Swiatek is the current champion of Roland Garros. In last year’s final, she beat Karolina Muchova with a score of 6:2, 5:7, 6:4.
