The match of the fourth round of the Masters in Rome ended, in which the Argentine Francisco Cerundolo and the Italian Yannick Sinner met. The meeting ended with the victory of Serundolo with a score of 2:1.
The first set ended with a tie-break, in which Yannick turned out to be stronger – 7:3. The second game was won by Serundolo with a score of 6:2. In the third set, Francisco won with the same score. Cerundolo made two passes right through, made two double faults and converted 7 break points out of 14. On account of Sinner, two serves right through and made three break points out of eight.
Earlier, Serundolo defeated Frenchman Gregoire Barrera (6:7, 6:2, 6:2) in the third round, while Sinner defeated Russian Alexander Shevchenko (6:3, 6:7, 6:2). Serundolo will face Kasper Ruud in the quarterfinals.
