The winners of the wild card for the women’s draw at Roland Garros have been announced

Today, May 14, the wild card holders for the women’s main draw of the Roland Garros Grand Slam tournament, which will be held from May 25 to June 9 in Paris (France), became known. The relevant information appeared on the official website of the tournament.

Six French tennais players received a wild card for the women’s draw: Alize Cornet, Fiona Ferro, Elsa Jacquemot, Kristina Mladenovic, Chloe Paquet and Jessica Ponchet. Also, special invitations went to American Sachia Vickery and former world No. 32 Ajla Tomljanovic.

Let us remind you that the current champion of Roland Garros is four-time Grand Slam champion, world number one from Poland Iga Swiatek. In the final of the tournament, she defeated Karolina Muchova, who at that time was ranked 43rd in the WTA rankings, in three sets.
