In one of the biggest surprises of the 2025 tennis season, Valentin Vacherot of Monaco, ranked World No. 204, produced a sensational performance to defeat Novak Djokovic (World No. 5) and advance to the final of the ATP Masters 1000 in Shanghai.
Vacherot, who entered the main draw through the qualifying rounds, scored a straight-sets victory over the 24-time Grand Slam champion, 6–3, 6–4, in just 1 hour and 41 minutes.
