Yannyk Sinner reached the second round of Wimbledon Georgy Sosno

The first racket of the world Italian tennis player Yannik Sinner won the opening match of Wimbledon-2024. His opponent was the representative of Germany, Yannick Hanfman. The match ended with the score 6:3, 6:4, 3:6, 6:3.

The tennis players spent 2 hours and 58 minutes on the court. During the entire game, Sinner served 16 aces and made three double faults, and also successfully used four break points out of five. Hanfman has 12 serves, three double faults and two broken points out of 11.

In the next round, Sinner will meet his compatriot Matteo Berrettini.

As a reminder, Wimbledon-2024 takes place from July 1 to 14. The current champion of the competition is Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, who in last year’s final beat Serbian Novak Djokovic in five sets — 1:6, 7:6, 6:1, 3:6, 6:4.
