Iga Swiatek and Anastasia Potapova played the shortest match at Roland Garros since 2015

The first racket of the world, Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek, beat Russian Anastasia Potapova (41st in the WTA ranking) in 40 minutes in the 1/8 finals of the women’s section of Roland Garros – 2024. The match ended with a score of 6:0, 6:0 in favor of the Polish female athletes

This is the shortest match in the main draw of the French Open since 2015 (since Opta began collecting such data).

In the quarterfinals of the French Open 2024, Iga Swiatek will play with the sixth racket of the world Marketa Vondrousova from the Czech Republic, who defeated the Serbian tennis player Olga Danilovic in the 1/8 finals – 6:4, 6:2.

The women’s part of Roland Garros 2024 takes place in Paris (France) from May 26 to June 8. The current champion of the competition is world number one Iga Swiatek from Poland.
