Iga Swiatek became the winner of Roland Garros, losing only three games to Paolini in the final
The world’s first racket, Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek, became the winner of the French Open 2024. Today, June 8, she beat Yasmine Paolini, ranked 15th in the WTA rankings, in two sets, with a score of 6:2, 6:1.
The athletes spent only 1 hour and 9 minutes on the court. The Polish tennis player converted five out of nine break points (56%) and did not make double faults. The Italian made two double faults and was able to convert one break point out of one earned (100%). Also, both athletes performed one serve through and through. Note that from a 1:2 score in the first set, Iga won 10 games in a row.
For Swiatek this is the fourth victory at Roland Garros. The Polish woman also won this tournament in 2020, 2022 and 2023. In addition, Iga took her fifth title of the season.
